Levels 1 and 2 create a browser-local encrypted envelope for the vault passphrase. This is more convenient, but the account password becomes the effective protection for this browser. Keep independent encrypted backups and use a strong account password.
Complete every factor required by the vault’s current sign-in level. This prevents someone with a weaker session from lowering protection.
Physical security key
Insert the key registered with this vault. After the earlier factors are accepted, KERlegacy verifies the signed response from that exact credential and requires user presence/touch. A PIN or biometric is not separately required by KERlegacy Local.
